The purpose of an expert is to identity, authenticate and appraise an objet d'art. In the context of a
public sale, an expert assists the auctioneer by an expert appraisal of items intended for sale,
and when appropriate, by editing the catalogue.

Since 1870, the Dillée Firm has a substantial archivical and documentation system at its disposal allowing precision identification of your furniture and objets d'art.

These archives are periodically updated to take account of the evolution of the international art market. Guillaume Dillée, is a member of the French Union of Professional Experts in Objets d'Art,
(Syndicat Français des Experts Professionels en œuvres d’art).

Mr. Dillée is also associated with the French Customs Commission as an Expert Assessor.
Items outside our firm’s speciality in objets d'art of the XVIIth, XVIIIth , XIXth centuries are dealt
